Looking for a good place to grab a bite to eat on Bainbridge Island? Whether you’re looking for gluten-free or healthy options or just something downright delicious, I’ve got you covered!
My Fave Bainbridge Island Healthy Restaurants

This is my go-to place for an oat milk matcha (they have the best matcha on the island) and a quick bite to eat. I LOVE their avocado toast and their kale salad. They also have their own kombucha, smoothies, and yummy bowls. They are also open at night and have a full bar and dinner menu.
Located on Eagle Harbor overlooking the Marina and a short walk from town, this spot is a must due to the location and high-quality ingredients. My go-to meal is the Asian Salmon Sandwich turned into a salad. They have a great outdoor patio!
An upscale PNW classic with healthy and gluten-free options. Indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a date night or special occasion but not the place I would take kids. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
This farm-to-table restaurant is one of my favorites on the island. The vibe. The setting. The food. The only caveat is that you must book reservations in advance and they are only open a couple of evenings a week. Those nights vary depending on the time of year. They welcome children 7 and older.
Treehouse Cafe is located on the south end of the island in Lynwood Center. They offer an array of dishes including gluten-free pizza. My absolute favorite pizza is the South Beach Baja which has a really yummy cilantro pesto. Kid-friendly, laid back, no reservation needed.
Don’t let the fact that this place is in a gas station fool you. This grab-and-go island favorite offers organic, gourmet dishes and treats, and lots of paleo & gluten-free options.

This charming little coffee shop located down by the marina has yummy gluten-free, vegan donuts as well as other items that aren’t gluten-free such as pastries, sandwiches, and all the normal coffee-shop offerings.
Other Restaurant Recommendations
There are many other amazing restaurants on the island that don’t have as much to offer when it comes to healthier, meat-free, gluten-free options but that says nothing as to how delicious they are! I just can’t speak to them! Here are some of the other restaurants on Bainbridge Island that I would recommend.
Neapolitan-style pizza and grilled Italian fare are what this hip restaurant is all about. Whether you’re there for the food, the drinks, or the vibe, you won’t be disappointed… unless you are gluten-free because there aren’t many gluten-free options and their pizza will make you want it!
This laid-back restaurant specializes in British-style fish ‘n chips & standard seafood fare. No gluten-free options so I can’t speak to it but it’s said to be amazing!
Located down by the Marina, this restaurant wins best location. Docs serves your typical American cuisine and its casual atmosphere is perfect for any occasion.
French-style fare made with locally sourced meat, fish & produce served in a woodsy-chic interior. One of the higher-end restaurants on the island. Make sure to make a reservation!
My top pick for Mexican food on the island. Fun vibe, fresh ingredients, and yummy! Family-friendly.
Via Rosa is a small batch Italian Market & Kitchen located in Rolling Bay. They serve fresh Italian food and the best veggies. I don’t know what they do to the veggies but they couldn’t be packed with more flavor! Since the pandemic, Via Rosa now just serves food to go.
Hammy’s is an old-fashioned burger joint that won the Island’s Best Burger six years in a row! They do have gluten-free buns!
Located in Pleasant Beach Village, Joe’s offers a simple menu of Italian-inspired dishes including salads, pastas, pizzas for dine-in, take-out, and curbside delivery. Their polenta fries and kale salad are my go-to.
This cute little sandwich shop in Lynwood Center serves sandwiches, soups, salads, hot and cold prepared foods, and more.
Streamliner Diner has been an island treasure for over 22 years and has the best breakfast restaurant on the island. They serve mostly organic, creative comfort food made from scratch. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on the weekends!
Ba Sa is a yummy Vietnamese restaurant in Winslow that also has a great outdoor patio. Great for a unique meal and a fun atmosphere.
A quaint little bakery in Winslow crafting coffee drinks, pastries & cakes (with some GF options), plus savory tarts, breads & soups.
